Yugoslavia - Socialist Federal Republic: A rare example of the Order Of The Yugoslav Flag, (Orden Jugoslovenske Zastave) 1st Class set of insignia, comprising breast star and sash bafe, silver, silver-gilt and enamels, and housed in its fitted presentation case, complete with no less than three tunic ribbon devices representative of the 1st Class insignia. Attributed to Dr Carl Bobleter, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Austria.

Dr Carl Heinz Bobleter, was a prominent Austrian Diplomat, who held various ambassadorial roles during the 1950s-1970s, and in a position that specifically represented Austria’s interest in international economic matters, he was the Ambassador of Austria to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development between 1958 and 1964. He was later State Secretary at the Foreign Ministry and the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs at the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Austria, notably speaking at the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in April 1967.
Consisting of sash badge in die-stamped fire gilt silver, unmarked, measuring 111.5 mm (w) x 62 mm (h), secured in place by three prongs to its full-length sash that incorporates a decorative moiré pattern and features a large bow-tie.
Together with breast badge of multi-piece construction, insignia in silver gilt with red, white and blue enamels, mounted to a ten-pointed star base, each star point point with three large emanating rays, with three shorter emanating rays between of the larger rays, hallmarked with a rooster surrounded by a "B" and "II" (900 silver) within a hexagon-shaped border, marked "900" (silver) and maker marked "IKOM" on the reverse, measuring 78.3 mm (w) x 82.3 mm (h), vertical pinback.
Contained in hardshelled case of issue, red dimpled exterior, inscribed "ORDEN JUGOSLOVENSKE ZASTAVE SA LENTOM” in gold-coloured ink on the lid, inside lid in white nylon, padded and bearing the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia coat-of-arms, base in black felt with three tunic ribbon bars denoting this grade of order.
The Order of the Yugoslav Flag was instituted on 26th November 1947, and was awarded for outstanding contributions to the development and strengthening of peaceful cooperation and friendship between Yugoslavia and other nations, in 5 classes. It became obsolete in 1990. Only around 1400 of all five classes were ever awarded.
