The Order of the People's Army (Orden narodne armije) was a high-ranking military decoration of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Instituted on December 29, 1951, it was awarded to officers, soldiers, and military units for exceptional success in commanding troops, strengthening the armed forces, and developing the country's military capabilities.The decoration was conferred in three classes:1st Class (with Laurel Wreath): Awarded primarily to high-ranking generals and foreign military leaders.2nd Class (with Gold Star): Awarded to senior officers and colonels.3rd Class (with Silver Star): Awarded to junior officers, soldiers, and NCOs for successful peacetime command and dedication.It was typically worn on the left side of the uniform and featured a distinctive red ribbon with varying white stripes depending on the class. The award was discontinued alongside the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992.
