​ Australia: a hand carved traditional Australian Aboriginal Boomerang, circa 1930’s or earlier, quite probably a souvenir piece of the era, depicting carved imagery of the Kookaburra, Kangaroo, Emu and Platypus, together with a top view of Australia, the reverse inscribed in ink: ‘La Peruse N.S.W. (New South Wales) Feb 1936’ with further faded ink reading: ‘Australia’ and Aboriginal Camp’ presumably where the object was acquired.
