David E Jenkins saw service as an Acting Bombardier, later Serjeant (No. W-3587) with the Royal Field Artillery on the Western Front from 23rd December 1915 and was awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette for bravery in France with 119th Brigade on 11th December 1918. The Gazette notes him as coming from Aberdeen.
