Western Front casualty Victory Medal awarded to Private J. Todd, 7th Battalion, later 6th Battalion, Cameron Highlanders who was wounded on 12th May 1917 and then again, dying of wounds on 24th July 1918 and being buried in Royallieu French National Cemetery.

Private (No. S-15517) J. Todd, 7th Battalion, Cameron Highlanders was noted as wounded in the Scotsman on 12th May 1917, recovering from these wounds, he would later be wounded for a second time this being announced in the Weekly casualty list of 27th August 1918. He had however previously died on 24th July 1918 most likely as a result of his second wounding whilst serving with 6th Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He is now buried in Royallieu French National Cemetery and was the brother of William J. Todd of Southerness, Preston, Dumfries.
