Walter Edward Peck was born in St. Luke’s and resided in Goswell Road, before enlisting at St. Paul’s. He would initially serve as a Private (No. 4488), 2nd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers at Gallipoli from 4th December 1915 and was killed in action on 28th February 1917. Having no known grave he is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial. He is noted as the son of Mrs. Elizabeth Peck, of 35 Napier Street, Shepherdess Walk, Hoxton, London.
