Herbert Brough was born in Oldham, Lancashire, enlisted at Hollinwood, Lancashire and saw service as a Private (No. 26787) with the 4th Battalion, King’s (Liverpool Regiment) who saw service on the Western Front from 3rd August 1915, and was killed in action on 27th October 1916 subsequently being buried in London Cemetery and Extension, Longueval.
Additionally entitled to a 1914-1915 Star and Victory Medal.
