Guilford O. Dudley saw service as a Sapper (No. 64976) with the Royal Engineers on the Western Front from 25th July 1915. He is noted as wounded in the War Office Weekly Casualty List on 18th September 1917, mistakenly under the initials of J.O. Dudley, but there is only one man of his surname with his service number in the Royal Engineers so undoubtedly the same man.
