Samuel Aldridge was born and lived in Liverpool and having enlisted would see service with the 13th Battalion, Liverpool Regiment on the Western Front from 29th September 1915. He would be killed in action on 14th July 1916 during the attack at Bazentin-Le-Grand on the Somme, and having no known grave is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial. He is noted as the husband of Martha Jane Aldridge, 7 Coburg Steet, Liverpool.
