Pascoe Spiers was born in Alderholt, Dorset, and was living in Salisbury when he enlisted at Dorcester and saw service during the Great War as a Private (No.17408) with the Dorset Regiment, and later as a Private (No.26723) with the 2nd Battalion, Wiltshire Regiment. Present out on the Western Front, he was killed in action on 21st March 1918, the first day of the German March Offensive. Having no known grave, he is commemorated by name on the Pozieres Memorial.
