Joseph Michael Hebert was born at Renfrew, Ontario enlisted on 1st February 1916, and travelled to the UK from Halifax on 23rd September 1916, arriving at Liverpool on 6th October 1916. Joining the 130th Battalion, Infantry, he would travel to France on 15th November 1916 and would see service with the 38th (Ottawa) Battalion, Canadian Infantry until the end of the war.
