William George Perry was born in Peckham, London 1893, gave his trade as a Blacksmith when he joined the Royal Navy for the duration of hostilities on 17th November 1916. His seaborne service was aboard the protected cruiser H.M.S. Juno from February 1917. He remained aboard until he was demobilised ashore on 15th April 1919.
