Third Burma War related 2nd Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers pair of gelatine silver print photographs showing the recently erected Memorial to Major Daniel Auchinleck, who had died of wounds at Tindah in Burma on 15 September 1886. One loose photograph, the other mounted onto a photograph card board bearing the details of J.J. Thompson of Omagh and Bundoran.
Condition: clear images, some tarnishing from age to card mount, generally Good Condition.
Major Daniel Auchinleck, 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers, was killed whilst pursing dacoits when on operations in Burma during the Third Burma War, he being mortally wounded, he died at Tindah (Taindah) on 15 September 1886 (some dates suggest 17 September 1886).
