The interesting and rare pair of award documents awarded to Feldwebel, 2nd Company, Panzer Grenadier Regiment 361, 90th Leichte Division who saw service during the North African campaign as part of the Afrika Korps being wounded in the fighting near El Agheila on 28th December 1942. He would later go on to receive the Italo-German Campaign Medal for Africa, this being ink-signed by Oberstleutnant Albert Panzenhagen, the Commander of Panzer Grenadier Regiment 361. A rare signature.

Wound Badge 1939 in black awarded in the field on 4th January 1943 for a wound received on 28th December 1942 as Feldwebel, 2nd Company, Panzer Grenadier Regiment 361. Signed by an Oberstabarzt und Chefarzt.
Italo-German Medal for the Campaign in Africa awarded in the field on 20th April 1943 as a Feldwebel, 2nd Company, Panzer Grenadier Regiment 361. Ink signed by Oberstleutnant Albert Panzenhagen, Commander of Panzer Grenadier Regiment 361, who was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on 2nd October 1942.
Condition: light foxing around the edges of the black wound badge certificate, overall Good Condition.
Rudolf Witt would have seen service in the North Africa Campaign as part of the famous Afrika Korps. 361st Panzer Grenadier Regiment serving as part of the renowned 90th Light Infantry Division where he took part in the westward retreat across Libya back into Tunisia.
He would receive a wound on 28th December 1942 being awarded the Wound Badge in Black on 4th January 1943 shortly after the Battle of El Agheila, he would receive the Italo-German Medal for the Campaign in Africa on 20th April 1943, receiving the scarce certificate for the award, this being signed by Oberstleutnant Albert Panzenhagen who received the Knights Cross on 2nd October 1942 for his part in capturing a position at Mersa Matruh.
