Nenner, 8th Battalion, Devonshire Regiment saw service on the Western Front from 25th July 1915 before later being discharged due to wounds on 15th December 1916, the second Officer Steward 3rd Class W.H. Nenner, Royal Navy saw service aboard the Armed Merchant Cruiser RMS Cedric and also aboard H.M.S. Teutonic during the Great War.

Richard Nenner was born in Torquay, Devon on 4th July 1890 and enlisted on 11th September 1914 and saw service as a Private (No. 11898) with the 8th Battalion, Devonshire Regiment on the Western Front from 25th July 1915 before later being discharged due to wounds on 15th December 1916. He would die in March 1975 in Plymouth, Devon aged 84.

William Henry Nenner was born in Torquay on 30th August 1895 and having worked as an Indoor Servant joined the Royal Navy on 16th November 1914 seeing service aboard the Armed Merchant Cruiser Cedric from 6th December 1914 until 20th January 1916 and then aboard RMS Teutonic from 21st January 1916 until 8th February 1917, he would have seen service at various shore establishments as well as a period aboard HMS New Zealand from 11th February 1919 until 18th May 1920 before his demobilisation ashore on 27th May 1920
