Thailand: The Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant, 3rd Type (1941-present), 1st Class Knight Grand Cross set of insignia, comprising breast star in silver, gilt and enamels, unmarked, and sash badge, silver, gilt and enamels, the reverse being marked: ’37/1’. This with full length of sash ribbon, fitted for wear, and housed in its large format fitted presentation case.
Condition: light scuffing to reverse of breast star owing to having been worn at some stage, Good Very Fine.
This order was established in 1861 by King Rama IV of the Kingdom of Siam, now Thailand. It is awarded to any government official for services rendered to Thailand. This grade, the 1st Class Knight Grand Cross is often awarded to senior Diplomats both Thai and foreign.
