Submariner’s Malay Peninsula and long service pair awarded to Petty Officer B.E.M. Williams, Royal Navy, who saw service in Malaysia during the Malay Peninsula operations which lasted from 17th August 1964 through to 11th August 1966. He was almost certainly a submariner for those operations, and went on to be awarded the long service medal whilst with Dolphin, the Royal Navy submarine base at Portsmouth. As evidenced by the existing badges, he may have been a Coxswain Submariner.
