John H. Williams was born in Woolwich, Kent in 1858 and attested on 9th March 1872 aged 14 years and 4 months who served exclusively at home until 24th March 1891, being awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal by an Army Order of 1st July 1890. This being his sole medal entitlement.
After his service he would in Plumstead, London in 1901, Southwark in 1911, and he would die in Warwick in December 1940.
