Thompson, 75th (Stirlingshire) Regiment of Foot who was present in India during the Indian Mutiny and would later take part in the siege of Delhi, suffering a slight wound in the scalp at Delhi on 10th July 1857, subsequently invalided to Europe he is later noted as dead on the roll having died, likely as a result of his wounds.

George Thompson saw service as a Private (No. 2176) with the 75th (Stirlingshire) Regiment of Foot in India during the Indian Mutiny where he would be present during the siege of Delhi which lasted from 30th May to 14th September 1857. He would suffer a slight wound in the scalp at Delhi on 10th July 1857, he would subsequently be invalided to Europe and is later noted as dead on the roll presumably having died of his wounds.
