Cordell, Coldstream Guards, formerly a Bandsman with the 1st Battalion, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, who having seen service in North West Europe with another unit, then joined the 1st Battalion in Palestine where it was on the outbreak of the troubles. He latterly transferred to the Coldstream Guards.

Awarded to Bandsman (No.3859645) P.K. Cordell, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, who having seen service in the Second World War during the campaign in North West Europe, then saw service with the 1st Loyals out in Palestine during the Jewish Revolt where the battalion was stationed on the outbreak of the troubles. Cordell who had originally enlisted for war service, transferred into the regular army, and went on to see service as a Guardsman with the Coldstream Guards.
