Hancott, Royal Hampshire Regiment, Territorial Army, who saw service during the Second World War in North West Europe and was subsequently issued with his Efficiency Medal in March 1953 whilst living in Eastbourne, Sussex.

Group of 5: 1939-1945 Star; France and Germany Star; Defence Medal; War Medal; Efficiency Medal, GVI 1st type bust, Territorial suspension; (2058862 CPL. H.J. HANCOTT. R.HAMPS.), first four with Army Council campaign medal award slip, and War Office card box of issue, addressed to: ‘H.J. Hancott Esq., 62 Sidley Road, Eastbourne, Sussex’. Last with named card box of issue, and forwarding letter to the same address in Eastbourne, this dated 28th March 1953.
