Rendall, Royal Artillery, Territorial Army, who was serving as a Bombardier with the 261st Battery, 94th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment when he was taken prisoner of war in North Africa on 14th September 1942. He was held captive in Germany at Stalag 17a at Kaisersteinbruck bei Bruck.

Peter Henry Rendall originally saw service was a Gunner later Bombardier (No.899742) with the Royal Artillery, as part of the Coastal Defence / Anti-Aircraft Branch. Rendall then saw service during the Second World War and was serving as a war substantive Bombardier with the 261st Battery, 94th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment when he was taken prisoner of war in North Africa on 14th September 1942 whilst on operations in Cyrenaica. Transported to Germany, he was eventually liberated from Stalag 17a at Kaisersteinbruck bei Bruck by which time he held the rank of Lance Sergeant. Rendall was transferred to the Reserve on 5th June 1946
