Marchant, Royal Army Service Corps who was taken prisoner at Fuka, Egypt on the night of 29th/30th June 1942 and subsequently held prisoner at P.O.W. Camp 65 at Cressina, near Bari, Italy and later at Stalag IVB at Muhlberg, Germany. He was repatriated on 14th July 1945.

Arthur Marchant saw service as a Driver (No. T/167525) with the Royal Army Service Corps during the Second World War, being present in North Africa. He would be taken prisoner at Fuka, Egypt on the night of 29th/30th June 1942, and having initially been declared missing, would be confirmed as a Prisoner of War and held at P.O.W. Camp number 65 at Cressina, Bari before later being held at Stalag IVB at Muhlberg in Germany. He was confirmed released in the Wart office Casualty List of 14th July 1945.
