Ted Hargreaves initially saw service with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, and during the Second World War would transfer to the Royal Armoured Corps on 2nd December 1941 with whom he would serve in during the operations in North Africa, and in both Italy and Burma. He would later be present during the Jewish Revolt in Palestine where he served as a Trooper (No. 4206516) with the 3rd King’s Own Hussars.
