Philpott, Army Air Corps, who saw service during the Second World War in North Africa, Italy and North West Europe, and then post-war in Palestine during the Jewish Revolt, subsequently claiming a late-claim for the latter medal. When previously sold in action in April 2006, this medal group was accompanied by a Greek (Republic) War Commemorative Medal 1941-45, and the late-claim box of issue for the Palestine 1945-48 medal was also present. Now no longer the case.
