Philpott, Army Air Corps, who saw service during the Second World War in North Africa, Italy and North West Europe, and then post-war in Palestine during the Jewish Revolt, subsequently claiming a late-claim for the latter medal.

Group of 7: 1939-1945 Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; France and Germany Star; Defence Medal; War Medal; General Service Medal 1918-1962, GVI 1st type bust, 1 Clasp: Palestine 1945-48, evidence of being a later claim due to naming style; (5511586 PTE H PHILPOTT AAC), all WW2 campaigns and medals are of matching patina, indicative of issue to one recipient.

Awarded to Private (No.5511586) H. Philpott, Army Air Corps, who saw service during the Second World War in North Africa, Italy and North West Europe, and then post-war in Palestine during the Jewish Revolt, subsequently claiming a late-claim for the latter medal. When previously sold in action in April 2006, this medal group was accompanied by a Greek (Republic) War Commemorative Medal 1941-45, and the late-claim box of issue for the Palestine 1945-48 medal was also present. Now no longer the case.
