Elgar Ronald Weston attested at Bergville, South Africa on 14th May 1940 into the Royal Natal Carbineers and would go on to see service in North Africa during the Second World War. He would later transfer to the General Staff Corps whilst serving with whom he would be awarded the Efficiency Medal. He would be discharged on 1st November 1945 due to demobilisation at the end of war.
