Leslie Charles Osborne originally enlisted into the Territorial Army in 1935 and saw service as a Gunner (No.899418) with the Royal Artillery. Mobilised on the outbreak of the Second World War, he then saw service in North Africa and Italy, and was present for the liberation of Naples on 1st October 1943. He was transferred to the Class Z Territorial Reserve on 28th April 1946.
