Kenneth Douglas Purslove was born in 1918 in Camberwell, London, and saw service during the Second World War in the Territorial Army as a Trooper (No.2051369) with the Royal Armoured Corps, seeing active service in North Africa with the 8th Army and Italy. Purslove married in 1946 in Bromley, Kent, and died there in 2007.
