Second World War North Africa 1st Army and Territory long service group awarded to Bombardier E.B. Hunt, Royal Artillery, Territorial Army, later Hampshire Regiment. Hunt saw service with the Coastal Defence / Anti-Aircraft Branch, and was present in North Africa with the 1st Army. He later transferred to the Hampshire Regiment in January 1945.

Group of 5: 1939-1945 Star; Africa Star with 1st Army Clasp; Defence Medal; War Medal; Efficiency Medal, GVI 1st type bust, Territorial suspension; (871988 BMBR. E.B. HUNT. R.A.), together with named card box of issue for the latter.

Condition: Good Very Fine.

Together with a Royal Artillery boxing competition medal, bronze, and a single tunic ribbon bar for the Africa Star with number ‘1’ attached.

Edward Bertram Hunt was born in 1920 and enlisted into the Territorial Army in 1937 as a Gunner (No.871988) with the Royal Artillery, and was posted to the Coastal Defence / Anti-Aircraft Branch. Mobilised on the outbreak of the Second World War he saw service in North Africa with the 1st Army, and later transferred to the Hampshire Regiment on 17th January 1945. Hunt died in Winchester, Hampshire in 1984.
