Pratt, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Territorial Army, who saw service during the Second World War in India and Burma, being Mentioned in Despatches for gallant and distinguished services in Burma in the London Gazette for 19th September 1946, and awarded the Efficiency Medal in 1948. Group of 5: 1939-1945 Star; Burma Star; Defence Medal; War Medal with Mention in Despatches Oakleaf; Efficiency Medal, GVI 1st type bust, Territorial suspension; (2056456 SJT. P.V. PRATT. R.E.M.E.), together with Army Council Campaign Medal Award Slip confirming his Second World War entitlement, and REME Records card box of issue, addressed to: ‘Mr P.V. Pratt, 116 Morley Rd, Leyton, London’. Condition: Good Very Fine. Together with two forwarding letters from the War Office reference the MID oak leaf emblems, one dated September 1946, the other September 1947. Awarded to Sergeant (No.2056456) P.V. Pratt, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Territorial Army, who saw service during the Second World War in India and Burma, being Mentioned in Despatches for gallant and distinguished services in Burma in the London Gazette for 19th September 1946 when an Acting Sergeant. Pratt was subsequently awarded the Efficiency Medal in Army Order No.27 on 10th February 1948.
