The Jubilee Medal for the 30th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was established by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on April 25th 1975. The medal with the inscription ‘To a Combatant’ was awarded to all servicemen and civilians who participated in the ranks of the Armed Forces during World War II, partisans and persons awarded the medals ‘For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-45’ and ‘For Victory over Japan’. The medal with the inscription ‘To a participant in the labour front’ was given to all previously awarded the medal ‘For Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War 1941-45’ and any ‘Defence of’ Medal. The medal without inscription was given to foreigners. The variation for ‘To a Combatant’ was given over 11,000,000 times, the variation for ‘To a participant of the labour front’ was awarded over 3 million times, and the foreigner variation over 5,000 times.
