The Jubilee Medal for 50 years of the Soviet Militia was established by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on 20th November 1967. The medal was awarded to militia members in good standing and to reservists or retirees with over 25 years of service in the militia. Approximately 250,000 were awarded.
