Russia - Soviet: Order of the Red Star, 2nd Type, silver and enamel, reverse numbered in hand engraved form: ’2710588’, awarded to Lieutenant Colonel F.M. Lydkin, who as of May 1946 when he was awarded his Order of the Red Star, was serving at the Chernovitsky Infantry School, when employed as the Senior Instructor for Tank and Mechanised Forces, and also the Chief of the Tank and Mechanised Forces Service. Lydkin was a member of the Red Army from 1931 onwards through until at least December 1951, and was also the recipient of the Medal for Combat Merit, the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class, and the Order of the Red Banner.

Fyodor Markovich Lydkin was born in 1906 in the hamlet of Prigorye in the Roslavsky District in the Smolensk Oblast, and was a member of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks from 1930. In 1931 he joined the Red Army, fought during the Great Patriotic War, and by December 1951 was living in the city of Chernovtsye, and seeing as a a Lieutenant Colonel at the Chernovitsky Infantry School, when employed as the Senior Instructor for Tank and Mechanised Forces, and also the Chief of the Tank and Mechanised Forces Service.
By Decree of the Tank and Mechanised Forces of the Red Army No.01 of 8th July 1944, he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class (No.107028), and he was then awarded the Medal for Combat Merit (No.1596230) on 3rd November 1944, this being a long service award. For his wartime service he was also awarded the Medal for Victory Over Germany.
Post-war, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star (No.2710588) on 6th May 1946, this being also a long service award, and after having been awarded the Medal for the 30th Anniversary of the Soviet Army and Navy on 22nd February 1948, for his additional long service he went on to be awarded the Order of the Red Banner (No.367511) on 19th November 1951.
