Russia – Soviet: Order of Honour, the reverse numbered 1522337, a scarce variant of The Order of the Badge of Honour, awarded only between December 1988 and the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.
Condition: Good very fine
The Order of Honour is a scarce variant of the Order of the Badge of Honour, that was awarded between 28th December 1988 until 1991. It differed in that the words ‘Znak Pocheta’ at the bottom of the obverse of the Order of the Badge of Honour were replaced by a small gold plated hammer and sickle with leaves on either side. This piece was made separately from the rest of the order, and was attached by two rivets on the reverse of the order. The original Order of the Badge of Honour was established 25th November 1935. Awarded on an individual or collective basis for contributions in all spheres of national life, including national defence.
