Russia - Soviet: Leningrad Front Order of Glory 3rd Class awarded to Private Sergei Aleksandrovich Fedorov, a submachine gunner in the 204th Rifle Regiment, 10th Rifle Division who was wounded during the fighting in the area of Lake Kharbaze during the offensive operations in Estonian in the autumn of 1944 leading to his eventual discharge.

Sergei Aleksandrovich Fedorov was born in the city of Sestroretsk, Leningrad Oblast in 1908, a Russian national, having attained an elementary education, he would later go on to service in the Red Army from October 1941 until December 1944. Having been involved in the Defence of Leningrad and receiving the medal for the defence of the city, he would be later be awarded this Order of Glory 3rd Class by decree of the Leningrad Front on 22nd July 1945. This would be his sole numbered decoration.
The award was won whilst Fedorov was serving as a Private and a sub-machine gunner, 204th Rifle Regiment, 10th Rifle Division, Leningrad Front as a result of the following recommendation:
‘As a private of the 204th Rifle Regiment, 10th Rifle Division, Leningrad Front, Comrade Fedorov, in offensive battles in the area of Lake Kharbaze, was severely wounded in the right shoulder, the right ankle, and the right flank by shell fragments. At present, he is an invalid of the 2nd group, as confirmed by illness certificate issued by Evacuation Hospital No.5937.’
He would go on to survive the war and would later be awarded the Medal for the Victory over Germany. In October 1946 Fedorov was not working and was living in Nekrasov Street, Leningrad.
