Nikolai Pavlovich Aldyukhov was born in the village of Kholmaya, Dubrovsky District, Bryansk Oblast in 1922. A Russian national he completed 4 grades of education and joined the Red Army in 1941 serving throughout the remainder of the war. This Order of Glory which does not carry a citation was awarded to him by decree of the 8th Artillery Division of the Reserve of the Supreme High Command on 27th March 1944. He would be serving with the 1st Baltic Front as a Signalman with the 28th Guards Artillery Brigade on 31st December 1944 when he would be awarded an Order of the Red Star for acts in September and October 1944 including in the fighting around Memel in the Baltic.
By February 1947 he was employed as a storeroom clerk with the District Military Commissariat in Moskovskaya Street in the city of Gusev in Kaliningrad Oblast
