Russia – Soviet: A Rare Order of the Red Banner and Order of the Red Star pair as awarded to Engineer Captain 1st Rank Aleksandr Dimitrievich Loginov, the Deputy Head of the Technical Section of the Pacific Fleet of the Soviet Navy, a recipient of both the Order of Lenin and Order of the Red Banner for Long Service.

Aleksandr Dmitrievich Loginov was a Russian born in Novgorod, Leningrad Oblast in 1908. He obtained a higher level of education and studied engineering. He joined the Soviet Navy in 1927, and became a member of the Communist Party in 1939.
Loginov received this Order of the Red Star on 2nd June 1945 for his service as Deputy Head of the Technical Section of the Soviet Navy’s Pacific Fleet. Details of this award are not yet available in the Russian Archives.
In addition to this Order of the Red Star, Engineer-Captain Loginov also received two additional Order of the Red Star on 3rd November 1944 and on 22nd July 1945, the Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class on 6th November 1945, this Order of the Red Banner for Long Service on 6th November 1947 and an Order of Lenin for Long Service on 30th April 1954, the Medal for Victory over Germany and the Medal for Victory over Japan.
Loginov was still serving in the Soviet Navy in 1954, and his address is listed as Apartment 38, 85 Leninskaya Street, Vladivostok.
