Russia – Soviet: A long service Order of the Red Star awarded to Junior Lieutenant Mikhail Vladimirovich Pankov, a member of the 1st Torpedo Boat Division, 1st Red Banner Torpedo Boat Brigade, Red Banner Baltic Fleet who served throughout the Great Patriotic War receiving two Orders of the Red Star and a Medal for Bravery, he would later also receive a Medal for Combat Merits and an Order of the Red Banner for long service.

Mikhail Vladimirovich Pankov was born in Moscow in 1916. A Russian national he completed 7 grades of education, before serving in the Armed Forces from September 1937.
Serving with the Baltic Fleet he would receive a number of decorations and medals during the Patriotic War. The first of these was a Medal for Bravery by decree of the Commander of the Torpedo Boat Brigade, Red Banner Baltic Fleet on 3rd June 1943. Thos was followed by his first Order of the Red Star by decree of the Commander of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet on 16th November 1944, his second Order of the Red Star followed by decree of the Commander of the 1st Red Banner Torpedo Boat Brigade, Red Banner Baltic Fleet on 27th May 1945. He would also receive a Medal for the Defence of Leningrad.
Continuing to serve after the war, he would receive a Medal for Combat Merits for 10 years long service for 10 years long service on 6th November 1947, This, his third Order of the Red Star for 15 years long service on 26th February 1953, and finally an Order of the Red Banner for 20 years long service on 30th December 1956.
On 17th December 1946 he would be employed as an Engineer-Mechanic, 7th Torpedo Boat Brigader, Red Banner Baltic Fleet and would be living in apartment 3, building 8, 2 Razyezhaya Street, Leningrad.
