Major Aleksander Grigorievich Komarov was born at the Vesimo-Shaitansk Plant in the Sverdlovsk Region during 1899. Having attained 7 years of school education, he served in the Red Army from October 1917 until September 1945.
Awarded this Order of the Red Banner for 20 years long service in November 1944, Komarov’s only other award was an Order of Lenin for 25 years long service given to him in February 1945, whilst the Chief Quartermaster of the 43 Reserve Ground Assault Aviation Regiment, 1st Resevre Aviation Brigade of the Baltic Front.
After the war, he was listed as temporarily unemployed, and living at Apartment 9, 13 Stalina Street, Postava.
