Russia – Soviet: A Long Service Award of the Order of the Red Star awarded to Viktor Vasilyevich Nazarov, the Head of the Laboratory of one of the Departments of the L.M. Kaganovich Military Transport Academy, Leningrad, where he had served during the siege of the city during the Great Patriotic War.

Viktor Vasilyevich Nazarov was born in the village of Zavidovo, Sasovo Raion, Ryazan Oblast in 1909 and having attained a secondary education, served in the Red Army from 1st November 1931 to December 1956.
Nazarov was to see service during the Great Patriotic War being awarded the Medal for the Defence of Leningrad, the Medal for the Victory over Germany and shortly after the war a Medal for the 30th Anniversary of the Soviet Army and Navy.
Eligible for the complete run of awards for Long Service, he received the Medal for Combat Merit on 3rd November 1944, the Order of the Red Star on 5th November 1946, the Order of the Red Banner for 13th June 1952 and the Order of Lenin on 30th December 1956.
Appearing to work throughout as the Head of the Laboratory of one of the departments of the L.M. Kaganovich Military Transport Academy, he was resident at Apartment 101, 2 Tavricheskaya Street, Apartment 101, in the city of Leningrad
