Major Yefim Markovich Mirsky was a Jew born in 1930 in Petrikov Raion, Mozyr Oblast, Belarus. Having attained a secondary education he served in the Red Army from October 1924 until January 1926 and again from February 1930 onwards. He joined the Communist Party in August 1930.
This Order of the Red Star was issued to him for 15 years long service on 3rd November 1944, whilst he was Assistant Deputy Commander of the 2nd Air Defence Corps in the city of Riga. Mirsky’s only other medal was the Medal for the Victory over Germany.
After the war he was the Head of a Detention Camp of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Latvian SSR, and was resident at 50 Terbatas Street, Apartment 3, city of Riga.
