Russia - Soviet: A good Baltic Offensive Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class awarded to Senior Lieutenant Vyacheslav Petrovich Inglikov, a Platoon Commander, 1288th Army Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment, 61st Army, later 576th Independent Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, 367th Red Banner Division for his firing over open sights at the enemy’s artillery observation points and firing position during a Red Army infantry attack. He earlier took part in the Defence of Stalingrad.

Vyacheslav Petrovich Inglikov was born in Boloshava Vorobyovskaya building 16 in the city of Ivanovo in 1921, and having attained a Middle school education he would join the Red Army in August 1940 and saw frontline service in the Great Patriotic War from March 1942 onwards, including during the Defence of the city of Stalingrad.
Inglikov would receive a number of awards during the Great Patriotic War, the first of which, an Order of the Red Star would be awarded to him by the Commander of Artillery of the 61st Army on 31st July 1944. This Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class would be awarded to him by Order of the Commander of Artillery of the 61st Army on 4th December 1944 whilst serving as a Senior Lieutenant and Fire Platoon Commander, 1282nd ‘Kobrinsky’ Red Banner Army Anti-Aircraft Regiment as a result of the following recommendation:
‘During the period of the offensive of November 4 and 5, 1944 in the area of Kvashi, Latvian SSR, having wheeled his platoon’s guns to open firing positions, he fired over open sights at the enemy’s artillery observation points and firing positions at the moment of our infantry’s attack. He skilfully managed the fire of his platoon, suppressed the enemy’s firing positions, and blinded the artillery observation points. He thereby ensured the successful advance of our infantry.
For bravery and courage in battle and for skilful leadership of his platoon, he deserves awarding of the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class.’
He would subsequently be awarded an Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class by order of the Commander of the Artillery of the 61st Army on 28th April 1945 during the height of the Battle of Berlin, he would also be awarded a Medal for Bravery on 13th May 1945 shortly after the capture of the city and the end of the war in Europe. He would go on to receive a Medal for the Victory over Germany and a Medal for Combat Merits for 10 years long service in 1954.
In 1947 he was employed as a Platoon Commander, 576th Independent Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, 367th Red Banner Rifle Division and was living in the city of Ivanovo
