William Edwin Hemborough was born at Tiverton and giving his trade as a Tailor enlisted at Tiverton on 24th April 1901 serving throughout his career as Private with the Chatham Division of the Royal Marine Light Infantry. He was awarded his Royal Navy Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 20th August 1916 was demobilised on 6th March 1919 and died on 2nd March 1948.
