John Driver served with the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade and his name would first be minuted with the Brigade in 1894 and his address given as 33 Lansdowne Terrace West, North Shields and would be presented his medal on 15th November 1914 for 20 years service with the Board of Trade Rocket Life Saving Apparatus Volunteers.
John Driver would continue to be active with the Brigade into the early 1920s, regularly attending annual meetings and was noted in the minutes of December 1942 to have passed away.
