Frederick Samuel Badcock was born in Plymouth, Devon, and enlisted into the British Army at Plymouth on 27th January 1921, seeing service as a Gunner (No.1419576) with the Royal Artillery, he saw service through the Second World War, and was pensioned on 15th September 1945.
