Peru - Republic of: Order of Merit for Distinguished Service (Orden al Mérito por Servicios Distinguidos), 1st Class Grand Cross Star, silver-gilt and enamels, the reverse with a cabochon bearing the maker mark for Pareja at the Casa Nacional De Moneda (National Mint) in Lima-Peru. Housed in its presentation case. A good early example of the insignia, circa 1960’s-1970’s.
