Reginald P. Daly was born in Marlborough, Wiltshire and enlisted at Dover, before seeing service as a Private (No. S/9502) with the 1st Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders in the Persian Gulf sometime after the 1st January 1916. He was killed in action on 22nd April 1916 and having no known grave is remembered on the Basra Memorial.
