Palestine Arab Rebellion, Second World War Italian Campaign, and Regular Army long service group awarded to Trooper A.S. Eglington, Royal Tank Regiment, formerly 2nd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment, who having seen service in Palestine during the Arab Rebellion, with the Second World War he transferred to the Royal Armoured Corps, and as of February 1941 was a Bandsman with the 52nd (Heavy) Training Regiment at Barnet. He then went on to see service during the Italian Campaign, and was awarded the Regular Army long service medal whilst a Trooper with the Royal Tanks.

Awarded to Private (No.5494091) A.S. Eglington, 2nd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment, who saw service in Palestine during the Arab Rebellion, and then went on to see service during the Second World War. At the time of his claiming the medal for Palestine in February 1941, Eglington was serving in the Royal Armoured Corps, and was then a Bandsman with the 52nd (Heavy) Training Regiment. Having successfully converted to armour, he went on to see service in Italy, and was awarded the Regular Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal whilst saving as a Trooper with the Royal Tank Regiment.
