Palestine Arab Rebellion and Second World War North Africa and then Italy ‘Missing in action’ group awarded to Private S.W. Proctor, 1st later 5th Battalion, East Kent Regiment - The Buffs, who having served in Palestine during the Arab Rebellion, went on to see service during the Second World War in North Africa and Italy, where as a Lance Corporal with the 5th Battalion, he was reported as missing in action on 3rd November 1943, though he subsequently rejoined his unit.

Proctor, 1st Battalion, East Kent Regiment - The Buffs, who was present out in Palestine during the Arab Rebellion, and then served during the Second World War out in the Middle East and North Africa. It was however whilst Proctor was on service in Italy that he was reported as missing in action on 3rd November 1943 when a Lance Corporal with the 5th Battalion. He however subsequently rejoined his unit. Additionally entitled to the Italy Star.
